As I posted at another newsgroup, Seamonkey, since v.1.1.11 has done one weird thing, more than once, with different builds, and different profiles.
If I open one site, from my bookmarks, like this one, and have more than one Tab, and use the left most tab, it will keep the original URL, although it will open the desired page. This does not happen with the second, or third Tab. It will show the correct URL, but if I go back to Tab 1, the URL will be the same which was last opened, and, in one case, I could not even close that window. But, if I select to open Tabs instead of windows, from links, I can open a new Tab from bookmarks. None of the other Tabbed Browsing settings matter. So, now, I have the three original Tabs, plus Sillydog's to the far right.
I had SM1.1.8RC, from a nightly, and, it behaved for two days, with a brand new profile. I deleted the unzipped file, but, then I download the final version, and usesd the same profile. It worked once, and, it is back to its old tricks. Any way, SM is usable, but I have to change my habits.
Should anyone care this behavior has been verified by only two other people that I know of.
I will check mozillazine, again.

Fulvio,

I would file a bug on the problem you are having. This way, with the information provided, they can look into it.

I attempted to duplicate with the Linux version, what you are describing, without success.

Someone at mozillazine.org suggested that it may be due to an extention.
I was using only seven extentions, plus the extention uninstaller, and its .api.
So, I removed all extentions, except for the uninstaller. There was no Tab problem. Then, I started adding back the extentions, and as soon as added Mr Tech Local Install, I had problems. All other extentions were fine, i.e the home button, prefbar, IE tab, colored tabs, mediaplayerconnectivity, and Yahoo Mail notifier. I don't need the Mr Tech.

With a name like "Mr Tech", what does it do?

Edward,
I am using it, only to by-pass the compatibility check. Some extentions can be installed, but don't work, as they are not compatible. It is useful to use something like Mr Tech with nightlies, or unreleased final versions. I reported the issue for the extention.
A simpler extention, and, just as useful, for me, is nightly tester tools, but it cannot, even be installed in SM.

I wonder if I should try SeaMonkey.
I've been thinking about it for several months, and
I haven't downloaded it yet. I don't think I ever got over
IE 7.0 crash yet.
I don't download anymore....:)

I liked Mozilla suite 6.0 a few yrs ago, but it wasn't compatible
with IE 6.0

What do you mean by that? IE and Mozilla are quite different, but, if you must use IE code there is the IE Tab add-on, which can be installed in Seamonkey, and use the IE engine
Considering that you are satisfied with what you have, I would not do a think. It may be painful, after sticking with a very obsolete program, all this time.

Anyway, it was a plwasure to hear from you, after all this time.

Okay, so I've decided to try SeaMonkey as my default browser on my Vista PC, I was browsing around the Mozilla website searching for the IE-Tab add-on for SeaMonkey, and I can only seem to find it for Firefox 3.
Does anyone know where I can get it?
