When I use the boookmark manager in Netscape 7.2 Compact to find bookmarks and then click to sort alpahbetically it does not happen. None of the columns that I click on work to sort bookmarks.

That was one of the bugs in Netscape 7.2, which was never fixed. Sorry!

They do not alphabetize in SeaMonkey either. One would have to press CTRL-B which opens up the Bookmark Manager, then they have to be manually moved up/down in order to alphabetize them.

Can't you alphabetize Bookmarks by clicking on Manage Bookmarks/ Edit /Sort? Depending on what you have selected, you can sort either individual folders or the whole set. I just tried it and it worked. If you want to sort by some other criteria, you'll still have to do it manually. (I put mine back in the order I like them--with the ones I use most often near the top of the list.)
