Firefox 3 beta

Postby JRImrie » Thu 29 May, 2008 6:13 pm

I have downloaded Firefox. I have two questions is it worth it to switch to the 3 beta 5.0 version now or wait? If it is worth it what do I need to do to set it up or where do I get instructions?

If you are new to Firefox I recommend you use the latest stable release, which is 2.0.0.14, notice it in my UA. You can download the latest release from the Firefox homepage. If you are interested in the Firefox 3, the current stage is past beta into release Candidate 1, also know as RC1, and that can be found here. Just download either of the setup files, and the rest is painless. It will even ask you if you want to import you bookmarks, etc. from NS 7.2.

Best of luck,

John

P.S: If you are in need of an email client, you can download Mozilla's Thunderbird, which is a standalone email client from the Thunderbird homepage.
