Thunderbrowse or who needs a browsers?

Postby Fulvio » Thu 31 Jul, 2008 10:27 am

Take a look at this addon. Right click/copy and paste is not working for me, but it allows me to browse from my mail client, and open links in it. I may not care for it, but, it sure is intriguing, especially for a minimalist!

Maybe the thing is not perfect. In first place, a poll came up. It beats me why. Just ignore it.
In second place, I could not edit nor reply from the message.
And, finally, it seems to have stolen default for the browser
It is cute, but no cigar. Just a curiosity.

Personally, I don't care for it. I like two separate apps: an e-mail client (i.e. Windows Mail or Outlook) and a browser (i.e. Firefox). It's one of the reasons I was so glad to be able to dump the suite and why SeaMonkey has never been an attraction for me. I want them separate. If one goes down, the other stands. An all-in-one idea (and this appears to be heading in that direction) is definitely not a plus for me (with one exception: security. I'm a sucker for security suites... not sure why). So... my bottom line is: Thunderbrowser would be of no interest to me.
