I downloaded Netscape 7.2 to my new machine rebooted, tried another file transfer to desktop as a new message, with the same result ...a beautiful blue T Bird icon with content..and opens blank..
Interestingly. I could care less if a shortcut works, and it does. The opposite is true for you.
But, is this not the case all the time? As for the lack of response with NS7.2, I would not expect it to work, if TB is your default. You click on the shortcut, and TB should open, not NS7.2. If you right click on the icon, and select Open with, what do you see? You should select anything you want, including NS7.2, I think. My right click|open with menu does not include NS, which is not on my computer. However, the file opens, nicely, with Seamonkey, which is NS7.2 successor, if I select it from Other programs. The saved e-mail does not open in mail, but rather, it seems, with the browser.
