Apple today released the sixth update to Mac OS X Leopard, making the version to 10.5.6. This update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Leopard, it includes 39 different changes, improvements, and bug fixes, including fixes for Time Machine, syncing improvements, graphics performance improvements, AirPort connections reliability improvement, Mail, iChat, MobileMe, and a variety of other changes.

Mac OS X 10.5.6 Update includes fixes and improvements for both PowerPC and Intel-based Mac. Apple also releases Security Update 2008-008 for Mac OS X Tiger (v.10.4.11) today. Security Update 2008-008 for Mac OS X Leopard is included in this Mac OS X 10.5.6 Update.

Apple released Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard on 26 October 2007, the first update was released in mid November 2007, the second update was released in mid February 2008, followed by Mac OS X 10.5.3 in late May, Mac OS X 10.5.4 in late June, and Mac OS X 10.5.5 in mid September. Leopard is packed with over 300 new features, installs easily, and works with the software and accessories users already have.

Mac OS X 10.5.6 also adds Trackpad System Preference pane for Apple notebooks released before recent MacBook and MacBook Pro release (late 2008 models).

The four fingers controls for Exposé and Switch Applications are not available on MacBook family released before recent late 2008 release. October 2008's release of new MacBook and MacBook Pro come with Trackpad System Preferences pane and four fingers controls.
