I'm sorry, I don't happen to be fluent in HTML.

Could you please describe the problem, with actual words.

Shutterbug,
please give a link to a site which does not play. The code listed does not tell me anything,...other that it is code. So, description of problem, as John asked, and link, if ok.

According to http://validator.w3.org/: Sorry! This document can not be checked.
The accompanying error text is:
-----
Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 203 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as utf-8 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication.
The error was: utf8 "\xA9" does not map to Unicode
-----

However, line 203 is a blank. And the document does not have the [ \xA9 ] string anywhere within it. Nor does it contain any of the 2-character subsets.

Your post contains only the first 24 lines of the 233 in the page Source. Submitting just these 23 to the Validator, using the 'Validate by Direct Input" mode, results in a tentative 70 errors, starting right from the top.

Regardless, the site will work fine using the IE engine with IE Tab. It is necessary to do this with sites which are, improperly, coded for IE only. As for Shutterbug, who used IE8 in both messages, there is no way to tell which version of Firefox had been tried, so my link to IE Tab may not produce the desired results. In summary, if the site is not recoded properly, it will be necessary to use IE Tab, to view the site properly.
