Problem With Firefox Get Mail Button

Postby humpd » Thu 03 Sep, 2009 11:35 pm

All of a sudden, after working without problems for a couple of months, my Get Mail Button in FF does not take me to the Profile menu. Rather, it goes immediately to whomever used Thunderbird the last (my wife or me). I think I solved this problem a few months ago but I now forget how I did it. I think I had to provide the location of the Thunderbird execute file but I cannot remember where I had to put that information. Can anyone give me a hand here? I'm going to have to start to write down the things I do when I fix a problem so I can remember how the heck to do it the next time that problem occurs. Thanks.

Once again, the solution was simple. I just unchecked the "Don't ask at start" box and the problem was solved. Sometimes we overlook the most obvious solution. Anyway, thanks to anyone who gave this problem any thought.

I did not see your post, but it made me take a look at my add-on. I have Get Mail Plus v.3.2, and the only Option is the path: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe. This option goes in the Tools|add-ons|Get Mail Plus box.
That version is the only one, and I have all my and my wife's accounts under a single profile.
And, of course it opens the profile list, with the default account expanded, and the other seven accounts not expanded, like it does when opening Thunderbird directly. I don't see any other setting.
