Anyone Encounter this Problem?

Postby humpd » Thu 01 Oct, 2009 8:12 am

Has anyone had Firefox 3.5+ suddenly shut down (as in instantly disappearing from the screen followed by a statement that FF has encountered a fatal error and closed)? I have had this happen several times, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Is this an issue with FF or is it a problem with Windows Vista which I have had since this summer. I have a feeling it is a Vista problem but just want to be sure.

Windows 7, Norton Internet Security, Malwarebytes, Spywareblaster for my desktop and Avast for the laptop, user of Chrome and Firefox 9.01.

I've had it happen, but only two times in the history of me using Firefox. Both were on Vista. So you're not alone.

I hope that Windows 7 will eliminate problems like the one I described. Little things like this are not a big deal but they are a bit frustrating.
