Redirecting problems

Postby Mousies » Tue 29 Sep, 2009 7:35 am

I run 2 computers one Vista one XP and I just started getting this message tonight on both computers.

The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
I went too Mozilla Forum, and seems I am not the only one. but there seems to be fix yet
I have done all clearing of cache, cookies, history, temp files and still no good.

Works fine in IE though

Seems a lot of us are having this problem since latest update.
This problem is happening too me in Facebook, which seems too be the problem with everyone else as well
Is there a fix coming for this problem??

I am using three versions of Firefox, with XP, and I never saw anything like you describe.
Have you tried to start Firefox in its safe mode, to disable add-ons?

This is happening in Vista too
If you take a look at the Mozilla Forum there are heaps of people having the same problem

Ok I disabled Adblock Plus, still happened, not sure if I can disable flash or not
and the only other adds on i Have running is the cat themes.

I may have more, but am not sure am not that comp savvy, but as I said there are loads of people having the same problem there.

As I mentioned it only happens in Firefox not IE the only update that i have added in the last few days was flash. but I have not added that on XP only Vista, yet the problem is in both.

Does that occur when trying to access a specific web site or page?
