How much do you pay for one pumpkin?

Postby Antony » Fri 30 Oct, 2009 6:30 am

Well, we don't officially observe the Halloween holiday here in Australia. (Some rich kids do, and shops want you to do so without a doubt.)

Visiting a supermarket in high class area and I saw they sell Halloween Pumpkin for AU$25 each (unprepared).

I would like to know that how much an unprepared pumpkin (suitable for Halloween) cost just before Halloween in America.

Thanks.

I paid $5 for two large pumpkins. I gave them to my cousin, and they had a blast carving.

A couple of days ago I saw pumpkins going for $2.98 each at Wal-Mart, but half of them were beginning to rot.

Pumpkins suitable for carving sell for around $5 around here, Antony. Many folks are opting for the phony kind (a sort of plastic type) that can be carved once and then stored away and re-used in following years. It's also safe so it's no fire hazard.
