I haven't tried ieSpell myself. No comments (from me) for this product.

I decided to go with NotesPad Antony. If I had to use IE for brushing my teeth, I'd go brushless most of the time.

The next, best step in checking your spelling in SillyDog's posts is the Spellchecker Extension to Mozilla browsers mentioned by Ramona in the Spellcheck for Netscape Navigator thread.

It uses Mozilla's built in dictionary and works terrifically. The use of the Spellchecker Extension now eliminates any extra step in the process of spell checking your posts.

[Edit: Works fine for me in Mozilla 1.7.2. Ramona reports that it works in Netscape 7.2. Firefox may require more work to use this. I do not have Firefox installed yet.]

Spellbound, at the above location, at the current time, does not seem to install in Firefox 1.5.x versions, but there is a solution which is described at:

That page links you to the SpellBound Development version page on MozillaZine. Clicking on the Install SpellBound Dev link worked for me.

I have been able to install spell checking into Firefox 1.5.0.7 without any obvious, serious issues.

It is worth noting that both Firefox 2.0 and SeaMonkey 1.1 will have inline spell check built-in, without the use of any outside extensions.

I hope that the built-in spell checker will be as good as Spellbound.
