Haha, I almost passed out. But that's just because I expected it to hurt, and it didn't.
And these ones hurt like the magnetic ones, only I can't take them out. But I am starting to get used to them.

I was thinking about ear studs, but the magnetic ones hurt like hell I guess I simply did not have the option to wear any. So I don't wear any jeweleries at all. (To Don: this read Antony is poor, he can't afford any ear pieces etc.)

Unless you count a watch as jewelry, I'd never bother. That's not to mention I'm definitely not getting anything pierced.

Interestingly, I have seen a big uptake in people getting their ears gauged instead of just pierced. A cousin and a couple of co-workers have had it done, though personally I don't like the style.

Outside of my baptismal cross (which will never leave me) and my wedding ring and watch, that's about it for me. I'm not a fan of gaudy piercing but if it's done inauspiciously then I don't mind it. I really have issues with tongue and lip piercings and hideous eyebrow piercings. To my way of thinking, most of these people are just asking for attention. A small ear ring or stud... fine (not for me, mind you) but a hoop the size of a basketball net... forget it.

I have a lot of friend that are gauging their ears. I don't plan on it. I find it gross, not to mention you ear will never go back to it's shape.

Although, I do plan on getting these:

They look like the real plugs or tapers, but they don't require you to stretch your ear, since the part that foes in is the same size.

Personally, I like piercings. I don't know why but I find them cool.

And as for jewelry, I don't wear anything besides my studs and all of my little bracelets.

Wow. That's quite a few bracelets, John. Any significance to any of them or are they just for enjoyment?

I remember the local news running a segment on how popular those particular bracelets had become.

The only thing I keep on my wrist is my watch. A lot of people nowadays just pull out their phone to check the time, but I like not having to pull out my phone, say, on the train or at work.

Consequentially I have a very nerdy tanline.

I see that you have "SGH X497" written on your hand. I have one of those, but haven't used in over a year since getting a Samsung SGH A777.

The rest are just for fun.

It's the model number of my grandmother's phone, actually. It's stopped getting a signal and I wanted to look up the issue before replacing it.

I used to wear watch on my wrist until the end of high school, then, for my undergraduate years, unlike today's modern kids, I did not have a mobile phone, I looped the watch through the belt hoop on my trousers. (I don't normally wear belts.) Instead of today's modern kids grabbing mobile phone from the pocket, I have to look down for the time.

And the reason I did that? I realised not wearing the watch on my wrist would reduce the scratching dramatically.

But Antony, with all your money why not just buy a new watch every few months?

LOL. Never thought about that.

To be honest, I really hate my items getting scratched. (No wonder I love invisibleSHIELD so much.)

My watch is a Casio EDB-610. The raised surface makes it scratch very easily. Sadly I'm on my second one, as the first one got scratched to the point where I couldn't read the screen.

I've thought of going back to the DBC-310 several times. It might have a tiny time display, but in the five years I had it, it never scratched.

Earlier tonight, a cockroach flew to (landed on) neck while I was in the kitchen. Initially I thought it was just a fly or something on my neck, so naturally I slapped it off. And once I slapped it off, I realised it was a cockroach.

Well, unlike beautiful Boston, Sydney is full of annoying insects. Even during weather, just some slighter warmer days, we can get active cockroaches.
