Since Yahoo revamped their mail/calendar application, I cannot print e-mail after clicking on PRINTABLE VIEW with Netscape 4.79. Their response was to upgrade browser[preferably to IE]. Also Ancestry.com blocked one clickable icon from Netscape. Their FAQ said to use IE. In the past I have have received similar "blocks" only to be told I would be better off if I used IE. Others with Netscape have the same blocks.

What has been the experience of other Netscape users and how did they resolve.

This is the same kind of problems I have been experiencing with the upgraded Yahoo mail.(See my earlier post Website crash). I also use Netscape Communicator 4.79. I have been forwarding emails to my earthlink email address and printing them out from there. But I'd love an easier solution. Rebecca.

I had a nice reply for you, but all in a sudden my reply was gone, although your quote was still there(Antony what is going on?).
I will check my Yahoo. I do not do much business anymore with Yahoo, since the change, when they changed my preferences.
Now,my mail is a SPAM repository. I changed my username, but I do not receive anything yet, so I will send myself something.
I have had some problem with some websites, which still refuse to recognize NS6/7 or Mozilla. I know that these people are more lazy than anything else, and since Netscape insists in strict adherence to code, as long that there is no or not much money involved, they keep doing it.

Are you talking about the text you typed in the "textarea of the form"?
If that is the case, and you are using Netscape 6.xx (particularly if your Windows has enlarged screen fonts). Then the text are not really gone, just not appearing for some unknown reason.
To trigger that up.. copy and paste some text in the meddle of your paragraph, and /or delete a selection...
To solve it, keep typing there...
OR best of all, click Preview then continue your typing.

There goes my message again. I am using Preview now.
I went to the Yahoo mail, and I get a blank page when I click on Printable View. No warning. Then, I went to Print Preview, and I see everything, and, bang! I get an error at Netscape.exe. After going back in, I can print, so it is not a complete block. I just get to print all the banner ads.

I get a blank screen also when I click on "printable view". I can print out the entire existing page, banners included. I select grayscale, but it is annoying. Rebecca.
