A bug of the pseudo(?) final NS7?

Postby Fulvio » Wed 28 Aug, 2002 8:36 pm

I will not get into any argument about the validity of the claim that NS7.0 is not the real final, but I have seen something which never happened before.
It has a Quick Launch which works, and if I add the -quiet to keep the splash screen out and select the proper Profile, it loads almost instantly.
But, I noticed that if I shutdown the computer, I get the Profile Manager box, which is telling me that this feature has not been well thought, and multi profile users may still have problems, or is it a "suggestion" a la please, please!

I'm not exactly sure what you mean.

-quiet isn't supposed to speed up startup, but it probably seems faster.

I know, but it is irrelevant to the question asked. Anyway, I disabled Quick Launch.

I meant I'm not sure what you meant in the third paragraph.

I am positive that no one could understand! Thank for pointing out.
Ok, it goes like this.I shutdown the computer, and , when I Start it again I see the desktop with the Profile Manager waiting for sometrhing.
At the Champion Board, they surmised that I might have had IM on on startup, but I am getting the wrong thing.
It is a minor nuisance, easily corrected by disabling Quick Launch, but talking about major, have you visited Netscape.com, and get this thing about CD and manual? It evades my popup killer, and it will keep coming up, no matter how many times you say no.
