I consistently got this crash on my old Windows 98SE machine after I added Prefbar 3.2 to Mozilla 1.7.11. The Mozilla program would no longer run, even after, as recommended, the deletion of the XUL.mfl file. I can not say which program was to blame or if the crash was due to other factors (using a really old profile and accidentally running Netscape 4.5 on this profile). I have not yet investigated my mouse driver to see if that is a factor.
Installation of Prefbar 2.3.1 in a fresh install of Mozilla 1.7.11 has not yet caused this problem, although I am cautious.
This problem has not yet occurred with Mozilla 1.7.11 and Prefbar 3.2 under Windows XP.
