Nice case. Is it me, or do you have a second PC next to the new one?

Thanks. Yes, that would be "PC2" that I mentioned in my earlier post on the previous page.

Well, it set me back slightly over $600 USD. I was rich, but now I'm flat out broke. I realized your joke, and my prevous statement was a joke, too.

Toshiba Satellite P10

Pentium 4 2.60GHz HyperThreading (I'm not sure of the FSB, she's only 4 months old, so will be around 533/800MHz)

256MB DDR laptop RAM (i think 400Mhz, i need to run KJC's copy of Everest Ultimate on her yet)

nVIDIA GeForce FX go1500 32MB graphics

30GB Hard disk

CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo

15.4" widescreen TFT LCD Panel

If anyone has a Tosh Satellite P10 scrap, with a good screen on it, let me know, i'll give ya good money for it, this is the fastest laptop i've had to date!
Nice! I've never had a laptop that fast. My slow PC laptop was only 800 or 850 MHz, bought in 2001.

What, your PowerBook isn't a laptop?

Let's say that if I were to mark this computer... from a Mac's prospective point of view :-P

casing: 3/10

see-throughness: 7/10

cable-tidiness: 1/10

stylish: 3/10

"harmony": 1/10

as a decoration? 1/10

Suggestion:
Please tidy up all the cables inside!

The Blue & White Power Macintosh G3, released in 1999 (about a year after the first release of iMac) showed the cleanness of inside the computer...

If not judging by Apple's standard, it's a great computer. Congratulations on your achievement of building a computer!

(obvious, this post was a joke.)

That one has clock speed of 1.33 GHz (PowerPC G4), I was comparing with my Dell laptop.

Well, Pu7o's iMac was fast!

And if I were you, I'd spend US$599 for the Mac mini instead.

So much for...

Of course, we all know that Don is poor, and could not afford to wait another two or three months for a fast Core 2 Duo laptop to hit the market.

Congratulations on getting a fast Intel Core 2 Duo CPU.

(Now, Antony feels his iMac is slow.)

Mandrake wrote:Yes, my Windows install is very spartan, I've not yet installed much at all!
Mine (under Parallels) only has WinZip and QuickTime Player installed, I consider those two are "essential". Hence mine is very spartan as well.

No, not even Firefox.

1.86GHz Core 2 Duo versus 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo, and 1GB of memory vs 2GB of memory. You must be imagining things.

I am lost here. Didn't you say that you don't like Intel, you prefer AMD's solution?

Also, you are one of the first persons to have fast 64-bit CPU.
