Nice, Vista Business must have cost you a bit.

Where is the thread about Windows Experience Index (Vista Rating)? I feel my computer is slow.

Not really. I got the OEM version. The "hardware" I bought with it is an IDE cable!

Edit: Here's the old thread with the Vista scores in it.

You will miss out Parental Controls, Media Center functionality, Windows DVD Maker features in Home Premium.

What are the chances somebody's going to parental control their own computer?

Whenever I downgrade to Vista I'm definitely going for Business. They don't have EFS, remote-accessable Terminal Services, IIS7, offline files, and other useful stuff in Home Premium. I can live without parental controls and Media Center and DVD Maker, since there's little chance I'd use them anyway.

I can parental control your computer for you. ;-)

"Downgrade"? What are you using now?

And how (and why) do you intend to do that?

XP. The "Downgrade" was a joke.

I meant I am willing to parental control your computer for you. Just set up an admin account (for me) and enable remote control.

I think I'll pass on that offer.

I just need to point out that I am poor. Mandrake does not even have a working DVD burner. The one I have only reads DVDs, it will not successfully burn a DVD. I am too poor to buy another one. Don, OTOH, can burn all the DVDs he wants. Conclusion? Clearly, Don_HH2K is rich. Mandrake is poor.

Don doesn't have blank DVDs. So he can't burn all the DVDs he wants; in fact, he can't burn a single DVD.

Of course, I can still burn however many VCDs I want, since those are what's available in terms of movies on the unethical isoHunt.

So how about, Don_HH2K and Mandrake are poor, and Antony is clearly rich?

Antony's 32-bit laptop can't burn DVDs (it is only a Combo Drive), Don's 64-bit laptop can burn DVD, DVD+R DL etc

Hence Don is rich.

You forget to mention that your 64-bit iMac can burn DVD and DVD+R DL too.

Let me remind you a bit about my 32-bit half-a-laptop. It's 233MHz; your 32-bit laptop is 1.33GHz. It has 160MB (and came with 32MB) of 66MHz memory; yours uses fast DDR-PC2700 memory. The video card doesn't support 3D acceleration, yours does. It has a 20GB hard drive (and came with a 3GB hard drive), yours is 60GB. It has a 32-bit display, mine only does 16-bit color. It has a built-in modem, ethernet, and wireless, while I need to use add-on cards for all that. And yours can burn CDs, mine can't even read some burned CDs.

And let's not forget your 32-bit laptop is portable. If I so much as lift mine it falls apart, because it's held together with tape. Yours is still in one piece.

Need I say more?

shouldn't we compare my 32-bit laptop to your 64-bit laptop?

No, we should compare his best computer with your best computer, meaning his 64-bit laptop should be compared with your 64-bit iMac. BTW, Pu7o doesn't have 64-bit anything, only a slow 32-bit iMac (which hasn't been able to burn DVDs properly for about a month, I might add), hence, I am poor, while you guys are all rich.
