On Win. xp, where do I go or where do I look to set my admin. rights? I tried to uninstall a program and was told I did not have authority to do so. I am the only user on this computer.

In Windows XP Professional: Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage'. The Console should appear, expand the System Tools list by clicking on the cross next to it. Then choose Local Users and Groups. You should be able to find what you are after in there :-)
