The UA string for it looks funny as it technically has two different version numbers... I have since removed it as it would not detect some secure (https) web sites.

Indeed. The UA string on Opera 10 reports itself as "Opera/9.80" at the start, and "Version/10.00" at the end.

So, is it really Opera 10, or just Opera 9.8, but marketed as version 10. Does this prove that software version
numbers are little more than a marketing gimmick to "big up" the product, and don't really mean anything?

Even the UA string of Internet Explorer 8 reports "Trident/4.0" in it's UA string ... which pretty much proves
my old long standing argument that IE is still built with a 4th generation rendering engine first introduced
way back in 1997, while all other browsers have long since moved onto 5th gen (or better) engines . . .

Anyway, this thread isn't really meant for discussions, so I'm going to leave it at that.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Is this one of the next big steps before the official release of Seamonky 2.0?
How's it working for you?
