That OSX DOCK was driving me crazy as to see windows open at same time, the windows had to be physicall moved sideways (not possible when they take the whole screen) or temporarily disappeared down into the DOCK and ALL of them looked like white rectanges!!! and not in any significant order to identify which was what. I spent more time trying to call up and find the "white rectangle" I wanted to work with next than the time I spent working with the contents of the windows!!! No more. Got my old window action back again....even with OSX.2.3!! Can just click on the header of the window and it "rolls up" (actually becomes invisible) so i can see one or two or three layers down with the headers still there clearly identifying what's what, and then click on top and instantly "unroll" them for working on each.
The POSITION OF THE That OSX DOCK is in the way even at its smallest on the left, right OR bottom. I kept opening up other software programs accidentally (and I didn't even know it) by hitting the icons in the DOCK while I was working on the lower part of the screen, and using the right slide bars, and left tool bars. Can't HIDE the dock, because the waste can is in there, and I need it reguarly. I've corresponded with APPLE about killing the DOCK and BRINGING BACK A SEPARATE WASTE CAN TO BE POSITIONED WHEREEVER I FIND IT MOST CONVENIENT! PLEASE do the same. Contact APPLE and beg them to put back the window shade and the separate waste basket features and ......
Please also beg them to return ability to print LIST of contents of a folder. I really miss the ability to print the list of contents of a folder. OSX.2.3 can NOT DO THIS! I called APPLE about this problem too. I don't mean printing the IMAGES or DOCUMENTS or HTMLS in the folders, I need to print just the LIST of their titles. Currently I have to use GRAB software to take a photo of the visible list and print each section of it, since GRAB will only photograph the section of the list that is showing on the desk top. GRAB printouts are just more time consuming with repeated opening og GRAB, then going to top toolbar and selecting CAPTURE ....SELECTION...Putting a rectangle around the part of the list showing on the screen and CLICK (photo) and then send to print and get this little piece of list centered on a wasted piece of paper. Scroll down list to another part visible, REPEAT all that GRAB action; Scroll down list to another part visible, REPEAT all that GRAB action;l Scroll down list to another part visible, REPEAT all that GRAB action; until done. It takes about 15 minutes and I get a pile of these little centered list photos on 10 pages of paper.
I used to print out the WHOLE LIST of 150-200 items in my folder by just clicking on the folder and flipping a keyboard control "p" and it came out of the printer on two-three concentrated pages. If somebody knows of an aftermarket software that can print folder LISTS like old OS 8.6 did, please let me know.
I really appreciate your expertise out there. This site is great!
