Does anyone know a way to access the Temporary Internet Files in the explorer except thru the explorer panel?

TIF=Temporary Internet Files in the paragraph below.

I am running XP and Internet Explorer 2000.

What I want to do is write a program or script to delete all files in the TIF. I want to load a vb program or WSH script. The program would quickly go to the TIF and copy all files to a new unhidden directory that I set up, then delete all the TIF and now go back to the explorer and allow me to load another page and over and over etc.

It is a tedious project doing it manually since I do it so frequently. I tried WSH window scripting, but seemed slow and did not always work. Maybe someone knows about some shareware out there along these lines.

I am fluent in WSH and VB and could write the short program if I knew how to access hidden files via VB.

I did move my TIF to c:\tempinet\Temporary Internet Files just to make it easier to find. I can go to dos and get into the directory, but all files are hidden and can't be copies since I don't know how to copy hidden files.

Is there a way to make all TIF unhidden and is it safe to run that way. No one else accesses my computer so they would not accidentally get into that area.

I don't have WinXP, so it is no trouble to me, but I think that those files are treated the same way as any "Windows" files. You can access Windows files from: C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\ and, select View|Unhide|etc
I have not seen a WinXP in over six months, so bear with me if not quite correct.

It's doubted the files even exsist in Windows XP, and you can't reboot into dos with Windows 2000 and XP, which makes that idea useless.

Most of the Riddler`s article is usuable in Windows 2000 Pro.
I also follow the advice mentioned in article from New Zealand PC World.

While this topic is pretty old, allow me to add my two cents' worth: To access the hidden files, I use Total Commander. It's a Norton or Midnight Commander-like program, and if you select its "Show hidden/system files" option, then it will display the Temporary Internet Files (and folders) that Windows Explorer so desparately wants to hide from view.
