I was having a problem inserting (embedding) images into my emails. The whole problem was ( and please tell me you guys have the same problem), is that when I went to Mail / Edit / Mail & Newsgroup account settings....
I CANT SEE ALL THE INFORMATION IN THE WINDOW!!!!! It looks as if there should be a scroll bar at the right of the window but there isnt one. No Wonder I couldnt find it because it wasnt showing up. BOY I FRIGGIN HATE NETSCAPE. I just downloaded 7.0 from Kazaa because everytime I do it from the netscape website it screws up. Well things of coarse are worse now. YIPPIE
IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK TO BE ABLE TO INSERT PICS INTO AN EMAIL? Thats the only reason I wanna use Nerscape.

By the way I have a brand new Dell Dimension 4500 computer so its not the computer screwing up. :? :? :? :?

To be honest, it's best not to obtain your software from illegitimate sources such as KaZaa. You
can never be sure exactly what you're getting, and more often than not, "P2P" networks (not
just KaZaa) are a virtual breeding ground for viruses, trojans, and other malicious code.

Netscape 7.0 is a bit out of date now, and IIRC, has a couple of security vulnerabilities, so I'd
personally recommend you get the official build of Netscape 7.1 direct from the Netscape FTP
server,
or the SD701 Streamline Edition of Netscape 7.1, as custom-built by Antony himself.

BTW . . . please refrain from further use of strong language on this forum.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Can you see the name of account which you set up, in the Account settings?
There is no scroll bar on the right, and probably none at all if you have only two accounts set up. Otherwise, there will a scroll bar on the left part of the window. The window has a right part where you set up whatever you highlight on the left. So, the scroll bar is irrelevant when you start from the top, or default account. Just make sure that you have checked to use HTML format, on the bottom right.
Then, when select to Compose, you should see a toolbar. The icon to the left of the smilies, is the one which allows to insert Images.
I am curious, why do want to use Netscape just to insert pics in e-mail?
Start simple, if you are not familiar with a new program. I decide pretty quickly when something is too much effort to use, and I decide pretty quickly to give up before I get aggravated.
It depends on what you want to do. Learn or complain?

the reason why I want to insert pics

Postby pimpleassface » Sat 01 Nov, 2003 4:01 am

two reasons........1) its fun to insert little custom smileys and my own made gifs in a sentence and 2) several people to whom I send emails are not very computer literate and probably dont know how to download an attached picture if i sent them one

Shawn,
now, if we can get an input about the sentences before this one.

two reasons........1) its fun to insert little custom smileys and my own made gifs in a sentence and 2) several people to whom I send emails are not very computer literate and probably dont know how to download an attached picture if i sent them one.

It may not work, but it is good to know.
