About:config Question

Postby szale9001 » Tue 21 Oct, 2003 9:27 pm

I was lookin at my about:config screen and i saw an AIM line pertaining to the away message.

aim.away|hidewindow|default|boolean|false

What does this mean. If I change it to true, will it hide my IM windows when I am away. I just want to know so I don't screw anything up. Oh, and on a separate note. My Radio Netscape has...disappeared. It was installed and the nsradio.zip file is inside the Installation files. I want to create a shortcut, but I don't know the path.
Thanx a lot.

I would not even try to guess what that line means. There is more to it than the hidewindow part.
Things disappear off and on.
If it is only the shortcut which disappeared, and you have Radio@NetscapePlus, it should be : Program Files|Radio@NetscapePlus|
Program|radio@netscape.exe I don't have WinXP, but it should have that path.

Hi,

How do I change the about:config settings?

In Firebird, all I have to do is double-click on the value and I am able to change it. However, in Netscape, double-click does has no response.

Thanks in advance.

Double clicking works for me (NS 7.1 in WinXP).
Otherwise, try context click* and select modify.

* commonly known as right-click.

You must run NS 7.1 to do it, not 7.02

Thanks, I guess I'll have to do without that because I cannot upgrade to 7.1 as it causes resource drainage.
