A bug"ette" in NS 7.1

Postby Ninjagranny » Fri 28 Nov, 2003 6:20 pm

I have to admit I have a heavily customised NS 7.1
Download sort - download bar - skypilot theme - english locale - english dictionary - english language - leech - google bar - advanced preffs -ieview - But I have go it quite stable now ( cept a minor date reversal bug in calender but ill find it .
I have noticed something though - the new Sun JVM seems to cause major problems in my customised version AND a vanilla build . The jvm seems to hold the NS executable in memory and can kill downloads - hang / crash NS and cause it to White screen on startup .
I have JRE 1.4.0 - 1.4.1_02 -1.4.2_01 - 1.4.2_02 as the object tag can have an eppi if it doesn't find the exact version it has stated.
I only get these bugs with 1.4.2_02 ( he current version ) anyone else seen this ?
Oh and the person who said they would get the language pack back please do as I would love to see where i went wrong - and if people want an english dictionary rather than a US english dictionary I have posted one and a few useful extensions on the following site - DO NOT TAKE THE LOCALE PACK AS IT HAS A MINOR BUG IN IT AT PRESENT AND IS THERE SO I CAN GET HELP WITH IT !!
