Hi all. The below web page link is a Canadian internet radio site. I am trying to get music to play using Netscape 7.02. I have all audio plugins that work fine. but some are telling me this is an activex issue because the player will not fully load. IE 5.5 will work great at this site and play all, but with Netscape the site itself loads but when I click on "sample stations", the player tries to load but does not fully. I have checked out the so called activex control available but very confusing. the following http://www.icebergradio.com/
home page will load but sample stations as well as my own refuse to load and play. any help with the right plugin appreciated. Using W98, Mediaplayer 9

Thanks,,, V

My friend, I well aware of the station, and I had set it up to work with NS7.02, and now with 7.1. But, for unknown reasons it quit on me. I sent tech requests three times, and never got a reply. I did all the obvious things, such as deleting the nine cookies which they plastered me with.
If it needs some form of ActiveX, they certainly do not say, and, there is one in NS7.1. Do you see in the middle of the player a "failed to open or play a playlist item"?
Anyway there should be no difference in play the sample station from the regular stations.
Anyway, I just e-mailed technonsupport again, and hope to get some reply in the next couple of months.

Player tries to open I get all info except player button controls and info of
SONG INFO and BIO is missing.- No music plays.- I also contacted tech support they told me I had to have Mediaplayer 9 and also mentioned latest version Directx but the Directx part does not seem right. I downloaded Mediaplayer 9 still won't work.

As I said they never answered me, but I tried again.
Whatever you say that they say is not consistent with the requirements listed at the website. For instance, they say that Netscape7/Mozilla should work, and the minimum requirements are WMP7.1. And Win 98 is ok, but WMP9 cannot be used with Win98. It was this way not long ago. In fact, the minimum requirements for Music Match Plus 8.1, which I have is Win98SE, so icebergradio is either not providing correct info or totally screwed up. I am going with the secong option. You can check the Help and the FAQ to show what I am talking about. Anyway, if you can get the promo stuff, why not the other stations. In the case of Music Match, I can get all the stations, but I cannot buy songs. They are not shutting me out!
I will keep you informed if I get anything going.

I have the original Win98. Do you have SE or the original one. Anyway, WMP9 will not work with Win98, or at least some features do not work. But, that should have little to do with our problem.
And, of course, I get no response.
