My OS is Windows ME! Netscape is crashing several times an hour with the kernel32.dll error message. When I was having this problem a few weeks ago I posted and it was suggested I plug the resource leak in Netscape 7.1 since I was at that time also getting low memory error messages. Basically I changed the value of the browser.cache.memory to 1024. This stopped the memory error messages, but I am now getting the Kernel32.dll message several times an hour and have to completely shut down and restart. What can I do to fix this? Will uninstalling and reinstalling work? Should I go back to an earlier version such as Netscape 7.01? Help! And thanks!

Create a new profile and see if running with the new profile causes the same error. See Ramona's
To create a new profile...., except you do not need to transfer all those files unless the new profile works better for you.

Thanks! I created a new profile about 2 hours ago and no crashes yet! I'll see if it still works this well tomorrow, and if so I'll copy and paste the files from the old profile into the new one as per instructions in the article! Thanks so much!
