I used to be able to search bookmarks in 7.02 with no problem. A few days ago I had a wierd situation where I lost my last 2 years of bookmarks. Fortunately I had Norton GoBack installed, so I ran it and got my PC back to the exact same state it was in 24 hours before. All bookmarks returned, and everything seemed to work fine. But now I find that I cannot use the keyword search function to search my bookmarks. When I enter in a keyword to search bookmarks, I get an hourglass, and it hangs. Only way to stop the hang is to use alt/control/delete end task.
Tried reloading Netscape 7.02, but that didn't fix it. Tried renaming my bookmarks.html file as xbookmarks.html, opened Netscape, and allowed it to create a pristine new bookmarks.html. Saved some new bookmarks to the pristine file, which worked OK. Then tried searching the new pristine bookmarks. Same problem - get the hourglass and it does nothing.
Tried searching google but I don't see this problem reported. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! Thanks - you guys are terrific.
