I've tried other Netscape versions 4.06, 4.51, 4.78, and 4.79. None of these work.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to obtain my old files and address books?

OK here is my deal. I formated my hard drive due to some OS problems. Prior to the F-disk I copyed all of my user profiles, (ie adress book, mail folders, prefrences, etc..) When I loaded Netscpae and tried to import the address book it did not take or when I copied the folders and placed them in the directory I recieved a "you do not have permission" message.

If your files were saved to CD, then most likely the File Attributes were changed to "Read Only". Check the file Properties, and if this has happened, remove the tick beside "Read Only".
