To help you come to a conclusion here, you'll need to decide which of the following you prefer. Do you want an
integrated internet app-suite approach of combined web browser, email/newsgroups, IRC, HTML editor, or the
seperate standalone approach of seperate internet applications. If you'd prefer the former approach, go for
the Mozilla Application Suite 1.7.5. If you'd prefer the latter, then go for Mozilla Firefox as your browser
of choice, with Mozilla Thunderbird for email/newsgroups, and Nvu for creating/editing webpages.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

if all you need is a browser without that mail stuff go with firefox.
if you do, go with mozilla.
on that older mac, i perfer Firefox, mozilla is too sluggish. (used from experince,)

While the Mozilla application suite is quite functional and a good choice if you're already familiar with Netscape or Mozilla, Firefox (and Thunderbird) should offer marginally better performance in matters such as loading times.

It is also worth noting that the Mac versions of Mozilla Firefox (and Thunderbird) tend to be better at conforming to Mac OS X user interface conventions than the application suite.
