I did only one try, with FF1.0, and I was able to access certain parts of my ISP website, with FF1.0, and the file pasted in its plugins folder. Certain areas of my ISP website cannot be accessed with NS6 or 7.x or Mozillas.
But, don't quote me. It does not hurt.

I checked my ISP website more thoroughly, and found out that I could access a number of links which , only one month ago, directed me to either open IE, or a browser derived from IE. I can open those pages directly with NS7.2 and Firefox1.0, into whose plugins folder I pasted the npTrident file. I do not need to reset the User Agent.
And, I found something interesting, also. That it is not necessary to use IE to download a Windows Update. It has nothing to do with the npTrident file, perhaps, but I direct to another website to download the patches.

If you want to stay unharmed from IE's bugs, do not do this, on the plus side you do get Windows Update

maybe your ISP changed the site... i doubt that netscape/moz would use both engines at the same time...

Unlike the IE View extention which opens IE, npTrident does not open IE. At least, I did not see it. It stays with my present browser. And, I do not have to make any choice, as it will be in Netscape 8.
now, it is possible that my ISP did make some changes. I complained a lot! But, the latest reply, about one months ago was that they address the issue, if they had enough complaints, and that I was the only one using a non-IE browser.
Unless someone tells me that that file is the same as opening IE, I will keep using it. I do not recommend its usage. I am saying that I see a difference.
