Once again, as reported on November 30, 2004
and February 17, 2005
, this new build of the Netscape 8 beta still seems to be packaged with the same installer that does not allow Netscape 8 to be installed on computers that do not meet the exact requirements for software or hardware, even if you are one megabyte of RAM short of the listed requirements.
At least they're no longer implying in the release notes
that it will install on Windows NT 4.0 when in fact it won't.
In any case, I would prefer for the installer not to include any unbypassable "requirement" checks at all.
I have not tried Netscape 8 beta out, so this is all I can comment on thus far.

Yes, you should be able to install and (presumably) run Netscape 8 beta alongside Netscape 7.2. The programs should not conflict with each other.
