CD trapped inside the drive?

Yesterday when i inserted a blank cd onto my mac's drive (because there was some stuff i wanted to backup) it got somehow stuck. Now even if i eject, it just won't come off! Worse, it constantly tries to eject the cd, and the sound of it trying every 5 seconds is really getting annoying. Any suggestions on how to get the damn cd off?

never mind, shortly after posting this message, i managed to pull the cd out by force using a small key, therefore it's ok now.
