Installing Netscape 7

Postby jonathon41uk2002 » Thu 19 Dec, 2002 3:58 am

I have been running Mozilla 1.2.1 but wanted to try Netscape 7. Tried installing regular, streamlined and Beonex at different times and they won't install on my system. Thet start to install and then stop bringing up a Microsoft send error report popup. I am running XP pro. Any ideas what is going wrong? I have only had success installing Netscape when I reformatted and used a clean installation of Windows.

It's odd. Are you having administrator power in your WindowsXP user account?

Where do you get your version of Netscape 7.01.

I would recommend Netscape 7.01 Streamline for this website.

It may help if you tell us what is the error. The first line should suffice.
Also, when do you see this error, like at the beginning, middle or end of the installation. The program should be in Program Files/Netscape for Netscape 7.x, Program File/Beonex, and Program File/mozilla.org. See if there is anything there, as well as in Add/Remove. Make sure that the Temporary Files are emptied.
