PreBar now up to Version 3.2.1

Postby profman » Sat 15 Oct, 2005 12:12 am

Version 3.2.1 of Prefbar was released on 2005-09-11.

The original preferences toolbar was designed to give the user more control over the pages viewed, and to allow the power browser to use mozilla with greater ease and efficiency than ever before. The PrefBar2 takes this concept to a whole new level; along with the standard preference checkboxes, the new version includes utility buttons, user agent spoofing, web links, and more, served on a fully customizable toolbar with a side of white rice....
...The current version of the PrefBar is 3.2, build 20050731. It should work with Mozilla 1.0 to 1.8a6 and Firefox 1.0+.

The changelogs for versions since version 3.0 are:
Changelog 3.2.1

* Fixed Bug 11152 "PrefBar 3.2 Crashes Mozilla Suite 1.7.11" (Manuel Reimer)
* Fixed Bug 11238 "Can't Get Different Customization Between Two Profiles" (Manuel Reimer)

* Fixed Bug 5733 "Image Permissions menulist resets with every new tab" (Manuel Reimer)
* Fixed Bug 7016 "F8-key failure" (Manuel Reimer)
* Fixed Bug 8653 "Don't use colons in entity names" (Manuel Reimer)
* Fixed Bug 8687 "Prefbar does not display" (Manuel Reimer)

I have so far installed PrefBar 3.2.1 only on my home XP system. It seems to run fine (so far) with both Mozilla 1.7.12 and Firefox 1.07.

Some links (among many) to PrefBar threads at SillyDog are

I really appreciate PrefBar and just a few other extensions.

Prefbar3.0 wasworking fine in FF1.0.7, but did not work in FF1.4.1 (1.8b5), and Seamonkey1.1 (1.9a1).
It seems to be incompatible with FF1.4.1, as almost all extentions I tried.
But, it was installed in Seamonkey1.1a nightly of 10-13. However, it does not add links, like the other programs have. Better than nothing, but not good enough. In fact, customization shows no new button.
