The original preferences toolbar was designed to give the user more control over the pages viewed, and to allow the power browser to use mozilla with greater ease and efficiency than ever before. ...The current version of the PrefBar is 3.2, build 20050731. It should work with Mozilla 1.0 to 1.8a6 and Firefox 1.0+.

I have so far installed PrefBar 3.2.1 only on my home XP system. It seems to run fine (so far) with both Mozilla 1.7.12 and Firefox 1.07.
