Netscape and Firefox don't support ActiveX, since that's the reason that most pcs get infected by spyware, etc..., but if you really want it, you can try the ActiveX plugin for Firefox available here.

Netscape 7.1-7.2 does. It only lets you play Embemmed WMP files. I'm also sure that no other browser other than IE supports full ActiveX support

Since ActiveX is a proprietary MS technology, Internet Explorer is the only browser that fully supports it
by default. To varying degrees, all those "wraparound" browsers, that require the IE rendering engine,
also support ActiveX. Netscape 8.x supports it when toggled to IE mode, but only for "trusted" sites.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

One additional comment: ActiveX controls are only compatible with the Windows version of Internet Explorer. The Mac version (since discontinued, along with all versions of Internet Explorer capable of running on anything other than Windows XP and Server 2003) does not have ActiveX support.
