Which is the best browser Netscape 8.0.3.3, Firefox 1.0.7 or Mozilla 1.7

My favorite is definately firefox.

At the moment, at least until Firefox 1.5 is released, my choice is SeaMonkey 1.0a . . .

My choice is Safari.

If I am on a Windows machine, I will pick Netscape 7.2

My current choice for best browser, IMHO, is SeaMonkey 1.0a. It is practically the only browser I use anymore. It's been very fast and stable, despite the "alpha" designation in the version. Really, in that matter, it's almost what Mozilla 1.8b4 would (or should) have been, if the Mozilla Foundation hadn't stopped app-suite development.

Opera 8.5 on Windows, Safari on Mac OS X, and Konqueror on *nix.

Failing that I use Firefox. It's on a rare occasion that I use Netscape 8, as mousewheel scrolling for Synaptics laptop trackpads (like the ones that they use in IBM Thinkpads and some newer HP/Compaq laptops) is not implemented yet, and I consider using the keyboard to be too archaic.

Currently a toss-up between Firefox and Opera (at least in my opinion). Not sure really which I would give the nod to... really... it depends on my mood of the moment. 8-)

I use two browsers. Firefox and Opera. To me they are both fantastic.They both serve my purpose.

Netscape 8.0.3.3 is my choice, I know this comment might upset a few people but I just don't think FireFox is stable enough for me. I'm still seeing some nuisances carried over from when it was called phoenix. Something that kinda peeves me about both is the way you need to download extensions for things that should already be implemented, like single window mode. I wanna keep my browser light and lean, so of course I wanna avoid downloading tons of extensions that in reality you shouldn't need. K-Meleon 0.9 is a good choice for the minimalist but it doesn't have a lot of developers at this point. All things considered, people do have alternatives now.. This is a great thing, not saying the old mozilla suite(seamonkey) was bad but it just didn't have the speed the avg. person was looking for. I don't think we could thank the developers at mozilla.org enough for what they're doing. I know I personally, am looking for more ways to get the word out. I just read on this site about HP and the new Netscape deal, the browser wars have been re-ignited for sure and this one time where a war is actually a GOOD thing.

Complete opposite for me: Netscape is the unstable and over-bloated browser in comparison to Firefox which is a mean, trim, fight-machine! 8-)

Absolutely Firefox! It runs lean and mean, as James stated, and I have yet to have a need for any extension. I do use SpellBound, only for my convenience, as I type fast, and make errors occasionally.

I find Mozilla a bit sluggish now, altho it too is a great suite.

Netscape 8.0.3.3 is O.K., but doesn't have the convenient options that I'm now used to in Firefox. Plus it really isn't the Netscape I used to know and love. It is AOL Netscape...
