Virtual Lock Software Error

Postby rsepulv » Tue 27 Jul, 2004 7:33 pm

OS X 10.3, Netscape 7.02

When I use Navigator to access my Netscape Webmail I get the following message:

"This area is not available at this time.

Please try again later.

If the problem persists, please contact Customer Service for assistance.

We apologize for the inconvenience."

The window title is "Virtual Lock Software Error"

I have searched with Google both for "Virtual Lock Software Error" and for "This area is not available at this time" and had no luck.

If I use Safari, all is good.

Please help.

Have you tried to clear your Netscape's cache and cookie? (just the cookie for netscape.com and aol.com and all related)

Virtual Lock Software Error

Thanks.

After reading your message I:
1. Removed all cookies
2. Cleared the memory cache
3. Cleared the disk cache.

An interesting note:
I can get to it using Safari and using Netscape on a Windows machine.

So I expect it is not related to the web site, but to Netscape on my iBook.

javascript:emoticon(':(')

Now my Safari is doing it!

Both Netscape and Safari are getting the "Virtual Lock Software" error.

Please help.

Are you behind a firewall?

Did you use this URL? http://webmail.netscape.com/

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I was using: http://my.screenname.aol.com/_cqr/login ... dAimAuth=y

As soon as I used the one you suggested it worked.

Thank you very much.
