That's strange, because i did the very same test on a phpBB forum i just set up, and the result wasn't exactly the one you just mentioned...

First i created a test user called "testluser" and posted on my test board. Here's the screenshot: http://kidzilla.planetaclix.pt/picNumUm.jpg

Afterwards, i went into the Admin Control Panel and removed the user. Afterwards, the post looked like this: http://kidzilla.planetaclix.pt/picNumDois.jpg

And really, does anyone here doubt that the forum on UFAQ.org is just a phpBB module for PHPNuke? (it even has the default phpBB skin!)

I deleted my test user AND Antony in the MySQL database. The difference maybe?

Also, I cannot simply "delete" a user in my Admin Panel in PHPNuke like you can in PhpBB.

Final test ... interesting.

Created another user, entered a post then signed off. Logged back in as the test user, post was there in the user's name of course.

Then, went into the account info and selected to delete myself, the test user. The test post was still there in the name of the user. This means that if I had deleted Antony by conventional means, his posts would still be there in his name ... oh well, live and learn. Nothing sinister, just a stupid error.

You expect me to privately beg you?

JayGarcia wrote:Yes, I did delete your user account when all this unpleasant business was going on. But since then I have re-instated your IP address, etc. so that you have full access.
so now you admitted you deleted my account and posts, also banned my IP.

JayGarcia wrote:At the time I just didn't realize that deleting your account also deleted all posts as well. My mistake ..... Sorry, I apologize.
The first part is not true. We all know how the phpBB and phpNuke work. But I your apology is accepted.

Yes, I forgot about being able to do it in the Admin section for "Forums". I just didn't scroll down far enough to see "Delete This User" when in the management section for "Users". I know a lot, I don't know everything. I don't particularly care for PHPNuke or PhpBB for that matter but I use them anyway because they're easy to configure and make additions and at over 60 years old I'm still a VERY busy man. What I really don't like is generated html.

I don't have any more comments regarding any of the above. I made my statement of error.

And, my point concerning emailing me has nothing to do with begging. It has everything to do with keeping it private like it should.

Now, when are we going to swap domains?

Yes, I've been thinking on how to do this thing in a way both of us would be happy, and a method that can be trusted.

I gave you my word via email. What else do you want. You can't have my first male child!!!

You have the particulars in my email, it'd very simple, takes less than 5 mins to swap email confirmations, etc.

All I need is verification that your information is correct that I transmittted in one of my emails. Mine is.

If you don't want to do this just say so.

this is just suggestion, but you should post a screenshot of that e-mail on SD701 (censored for personal info) and have Jay Garcia agree he wrote the e-mail.

Sorry, but that won't happen. Antony has my private email. If my word isn't good enough in that venue then so be it, end of story.

Well, I believe your UFAQ.org is open to all users, and hence that support forum can be considered as "public" forum. I posted my support in a public forum, I failed to see any reason that particular post (in answering to your member) should be deleted, why shall I send you a private email and ask you, "please don't delete my account"?

JayGarcia wrote:2) The word censor episode on the UFAQ was done by another admin, I won't say who, not ChrisI "he's not an admin" and it's nobody you know, and when I discovered it myself, I immediately removed it.
In order to keep a good friendship between UFAQ.org and SillyDog701, SillyDog701 demands an apology from your "other admin" on such insult (aka word censoring). If that "other admin" does not wish to identify himself/herself, someone who represents UFAQ.org may tender an apology on the word censoring issue.

SillyDog701 has never censored UFAQ.org. The story of word censoring deployed by UFAQ.org can be found in this thread.
