What about Sillydog/wap ?

Postby Gregor » Tue 11 Mar, 2003 1:18 pm

The other day (while away) I was playing with my mobile phone.
I found a wap page of Sillydog. It was not saying much. I wonder later how the things are looking on that area ?

The WAP page is designed to provide "information" only, in other words, text only. I will try to update the information on WAP as often as I can.

Gregor,

Was your mobile phone using Opera's web browser?

Opera 7 (Windows) has a nice feature that will display a web page as if the user were viewing it on a mobile phone.

The main SillyDog page looks great in that mode.

No, I looked the page from my Panasonic GD67 directly. It has Openwawe encription browser by RSA.

Antony,
I didn`t want to push anything. If You decided to have there base information displayed, it is fine with me.

To quote Tim Berners-Lee:

"Why do they call it WAP?"

"Because thats the sound a WAP enabled cell phone makes when you throw it in the trash bin"

To quote myself, a few months after buying a WAP phone . . .

Q: Why do they call it WAP?
A: Because it rhymes with crap!

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.0.2) Gecko/20030208 Netscape/7.02 (DJGM-i.net)
SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
