What does .co.uk stand for?

Postby iJohnE » Fri 07 Dec, 2007 9:32 am

A lot of time I will see a website like this "http://www.EXAMPLE..co.uk" Now, I am by far no idiot but I have always wondered what .co.uk stood for. Does anyone know?

[tt].co[/tt] is just like [tt].com[/tt] for companies or commercial.

[tt].co[/tt] is used in United Kingdom, New Zealand and a few other countries.

Okay, thanks for the reply, I always wondered. I guess I was just a little confused.

For more - and general - information, try an internet search. A Google search for [ "internet domains" ] brings up 'about 61,000' hits. Those on the first page are probably as far as one needs to go.
