I've been given the opportunity to create a website that needs to be top-of-the-line and all the resources I require will be made acailable to me. It'll need to have the ability to configure multiple levels of access to information, presentation style index page, etc.

To figure out the best approch to this new project, I wanted to as what you would believe to be the best software to utilize. Any and all suggestions would be fantastic.

You haven't told us what sort of website you are building.

Generally speaking, Adobe Dreamweaver is a great software for most purposes.

I'm still waiting on the notes myself to get a better overview. They're in the process of being translated from japanese. The frontpage will be most likely be done partly in Flash for a slideshow and then lead into the rest of the site. Password encrytion for the various levels of access will be a must almost like the hierarcy of various forums, ie: admin level, moderator level, various member lvls, etc. From there, I'm not even sure myself until I recieve the notes. This is why I'm looking for ideas of what I could be prepared with. He'll purchase whatever I need, so any and all options to go through is a major plus and will probably help shape the disered plan rather than getting something to fit within a specific application. Imagination is a good thing in this case. ;)

Either you are going to add the code yourself (for access level) or you might just want to use one of the CMS system and customise the look.

I am still thinking the Dreamweaver is the one to go. Of course, you will need a software to do graphics.
