So, netizens, who has seen The Social Network?

I have it now on my computers. Shockingly (Antony) Zune will load and play a .avi (don't ask why I have a .avi). But, my Roku XD|S will only load a .mp4, so I did a conversion to watch it on my HD TV.

I am watching now, in Zune, for the umpteenth time. I am enamored of Jessie Eisenberg, who, it turns out, grew up two towns over from me. Eisenberg may win a Golden Globe, even an Oscar. But, I think, there is no such thing as a "break out" role for this actor. He looks more the part than does Mark Zuckerberg himself.

Anyway, any interest?

I went and saw it with a few friends, and our consensus was that the movie was 10% documentary and 90% Hollywood drama. Then again I went into it thinking the movie was mostly about how socially controversial Facebook was, not the company's origins.

Laurent and I finally saw the movie on DVD. (We are too cheap to go to the movies.)

I noted two things: they use Mozilla 0.x as browser.
and they (at least the main character) drink Don's favourite Mountain Dew. No wonder Mountain Dew is the choice of nerd/geek's soft drink.

I seem to remember the main character drinking beer, not Mountain Dew.

In addition to older Mozilla builds, I remember noticing the use of what looked like KDE3, and while I'm not entirely sure on what time period the movie took place in relative to KDE, I believe KDE2 was the latest version at the time.

I've seen it. I liked it a lot, I felt the movie had a pretty interesting story line. Yeah, I know most of it was made up but I still can watch it over and over on my iPad.
