I would love to see a survey or at least a thread where folks could tell us what forums they use and why they like them.

I use forums a lot, so much that I have them in a bookmark group. I regularly run through them to see what's up and where. One can learn a lot that way.

But the only forum where I feel an obligation to check in almost daily is SillyDog. I have gotten so much help. The atmosphere is so friendly. I have made what I call "efriends".

I would love to see what others think, and not just the usual suspects like Fulvio, Ramona, John, Don, etc. I would love to see what lots of folks think. I am always looking to learn.

Well... I'm right up with you in your top technology forums: SillyDog701 is number one with me, followed by WinBBS, Opera Community, UFAQ (on occasion but less frequently now), RazorRap and several Orthodox forums relating to our religious beliefs. I was a member of SillyDog before it moved to its new home here. I'd have to check the archives, but I'm fairly certain I've been here first as a guest and then a member prior to 2000. And I completely agree with your evaluation of SD701... it's one of the friendliest and most helpful of the communities as far as I'm concerned.

To tell you the truth, I've been fooling around in Annexcafe for a few years making stationery. I seem to have misplaced a lot of my passwords and can't get into several places.
I looked for BBS as I used to go in there, I received a New Years msg. from BBS and I couldn't find my PW in my book.
I could change my name, I guess. 'Might be a good idea'
I used to go quite a lot in UFAQ
I'm going to buy a Roladex, maybe then I will be able find things.
I do have a lot of notes in NOTEPAD. That is handy.
I wish I had more time.

I used to use Netscape, started on PC with NS 2.0, Winamp, Crescendo, but thinking of downloading SeaMonkey.
I did like Mozilla Suite 6.0 but too many conflicts with Windows.
It's probably better now, I don't know.
