Why can I not access "HTTPS" sites?

Postby greggc » Tue 11 May, 2004 1:33 pm

I have loaded Communicator 4.79 and wish to visit some secure websites using HTTPS addresses but each time I try to navigate, the server is not found. Unsecure or HTTP sites come up fine.

You likely don't have the required encryption for SSL (128 bit) either upgrade to the 128bit Encrypion version of 4.8, or use another browser (IE 6 SP1 or Mozilla 1.6).
