Postby Ron Williams » Sat 10 Jan, 2004 11:02 pm

i think you should not lock a forum if it is "rubish" why should you maybe you should read what it says and then lock it and think of other peoples beliefs. NOT WHAT YOU THINK I KNOW LOCKING MY FORUM WAS IGNORANT ANSWER THAT????

I did not lock that thread, however I agree such thread should be locked. The language level is not qualify to stay.

Firstly, do NOT copy and paste entire article from SPAM emails.

Secondly, do NOT assume everybody is from USA.
and do NOT assume everyone is Christian.
You as a Christian can help!
This can be quite offensive to those who are not Christian.

Please show respect to people from outside USA and people have different religion background.

Thirdly, this message is open for the world, not just USA, not just Christian. Such message is not qualify and could be very offensive to people outside the Christian group.

Had you written in your own words and in a better way, the thread could have stayed.

I believe I've explained enough, other moderators might have more words.
I do not lock the thread myself, however, it it was left unlocked, I would probably remove most of the contents as well.

The thread appeared to be another kind of SPAM (to those who are completely not interested.)

To be perfectly blunt, I am not Christian, and I did find that slightly offensive. If you would like more respect with regards to your forum topics and posts, use proper punctuation and DON'T SHOUT, it doesn't look very professional. I can also assure you that I am certainly not racist or ignorant about any of the major religions, if you want to talk about it, please feel free to PM me.

This "petition" is a false Urban Legend.

Focus on the Family has a page, Petition 2493: Still a Fake, on this and other Christian Urban Legends. The FCC also has a page on this entitled, Religious Broadcasting Rumor Denied.

All such stories should be researched before perpetuating them on the web.
