WIN XP: PROGRAM FONT - PLEASE HELP!

Postby daktal » Sun 13 Jul, 2003 10:47 pm

Hey all,

I'll get right to the point.

I recently had a corrupt font in Windows XP's font directory. In trying to rid my system of it i cleared out the entire font directory except for whatever default font names i recognized.

I was able to sucessfully remove the damaged font but now when i open a program's 'options' type windows, 'save file' windows, etc., the font is much larger than it used to be(default) and therefore cannot fit into the window sizes (its not the pulldown menu font, i hope you understand what i'm talking about).
And i've, of course, tried changing all the font sizes in the control pannel - display - advanced section; is there a section i've missed on the actual program font size?
The font that many programs use within the actual program does not seem to be a feature that i can edit through the control panel.

Can someone please let me know of a file i might be able to download to replace one i may have deleted or option i can edit to correct this problem? :?: :?: :?:

Thank you so much!

Can you use System Restore to fix the error? If not, you could possibly extract the fonts from the Windows XP cab files on your Windows XP cd or recovery media . . .
