Hey. I don't know if anyone has had problems with winzip or not, but i downloaded winzip for my computer to unzip a file for a driver for my scanner and it just doesn't work. I go through the unzipping process and after it just doesn't do anything and I still can't open it up.
i was told Winror ( or however its spelled) is better. Is that true?

Any ideas?

Do other ZIP files process alright? You might have a corrupted archive.

WinRAR and WinZip are two entirely different programs. One does RAR files, one does ZIP files. They should not be confused with each other, since they do two entirely different things. WinZip does handle RAR, but WinRAR does not do ZIP.

Yes it does. I've used WinRAR exculsively for years for both ZIP and RAR files. Winzip, OTOH, cannot handle RAR files out-of-the-box.

I haven't really got any other mfiles to unzip. I rarely ever use winzip. Infact i haven't used it in over a year until i downloaded it a couple weeks ago. sop i do not know if it will unzip other zipped files.

What do you think would be better? Win RAR or Win ZIP?
