Windows 7 and Outlook Express/Windows Mail

Postby oigle 1 » Wed 17 Feb, 2010 4:36 am

Have a friend who is struggling with computers. He has a good grip on Outlook Express and Windows mail but struggles to use Gmail on the web.
Just installed Windows 7 for him and of course the abovementioned programs are not there.
Can I install one of these as a stand alone program and are there any probs involved? Know I can install Mozilla, which is not too dissimilar but would rather stay with a known program if I can.
Any ideas?
Thanks

You can't install Windows Mail or Outlook Express. How ever you could try the windows live mail client.

It's about as close as you are going to get I'm afraid.

You should be able to install Windows Live Mail which is the updated version of Outlook Express. I use it and find it does the job very nicely and it allows me to sync with my hotmail account.

Hey, John... somehow I never saw your "full" response. Don't ask how but it's true. Sorry for repeating your answer but at least we got the same message across.
