Windows for Mac, and Jaws

Postby allen-uk » Fri 12 Sep, 2008 8:16 am

Hello.

Running Mac iMac Intel 10.4.11.

Any comments on Windows for Mac software? Is there one recommended version, and does it work?

Also, does anyone know of Jaws, a visually-disabled program for voice input to PCs which lets you control Internet, Email, etc., without vision? It is a 'for Windows' prog, hence the first question. As it is also hellish expensive (think QuarkXpress prices) I am doing some research before going further.

Alternatively, has anyone come across any other similar programs which can be recommended?

Allen, London.

I use Parallels Desktop for Mac. It works great for me. You can download a trial.

If you don't mind rebooting, you can use the built-in Boot Camp (this comes with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard).

Also you will need a copy of Windows.

If you decide to buy it, you can use this link, http://sillydog.com/l/Parallels_discount , and receive $5 discount.

Sorry, I have no idea about Jaws. However, the Access features in Mac OS X 10.5 has improved a lot.
